About the Congress
IAPO’s Congress provides a unique opportunity for patient advocates, across diseases and across borders, to come together and participate in an exciting agenda which will help to foster global networks, develop practical skills, and enable engagement and understanding of key policy issues affecting patients in the international arena.  This year, we build on the success of previous Congresses with an exciting programme that will focus on 'Strengthening Healthcare Systems Globally: The Value of Patient Engagement'. 

As IAPO increases its membership in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, it is appropriate and exciting to be able to invite you to this event in Istanbul, a city founded on three great civilizations, where the East meets the West.  Whether this is your first time, or your fourth time at IAPO’s Global Patients Congress, we hope that you will enjoy the multi-disciplinary, participative and supportive environment at this unique international event.

Registration
Registration for the 4th Global Patients Congress, Strengthening Healthcare Systems Globally: The Value of Patient Engagement, is now open for member delegates. Click here to register. This event will be held from 23-25 February 2010, in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Istanbul, Turkey. We look forward to seeing many of you there to build on the important work we have started in previous years.

Savings on Hotel Rooms:  We are pleased to be able to offer excellent savings for IAPO Congress delegates on the room rates at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Istanbul where the Congress will be hosted. The cost for IAPO delegates of Euro 146 per night for single occupancy represents a saving in the region of Euro 100 per night.

IAPO Member Bursary:  The deadline for applications for the IAPO member bursary has now passed.

Letter of Support for Congress Attendance:  As the member bursary fund is limited we are also keen to support you in your applications for additional funds to attend the Congress from your existing donors and other sources.
