In December, IAPO held a Policy Webinar to brief members on the upcoming Executive Board meeting.
The webinar:
- Outlined key policy issues on the Executive Board agenda
- Updated members on IAPO’s policy work since the World Health Assembly 2012
- Outlined IAPO’s position on key policy issues
There was also the opportunity for members to ask questions about IAPO’s policy work at the international level.

What is the Executive Board? The Executive Board is composed of 34 individuals who have been designated by their Member State. These Member States have been elected to the Executive Board by the World Health Assembly. Member States are elected for three-year terms. The main functions of the Executive Board are to: approve the agenda for the World Health Assembly, ensure that the decisions and policies of the Health Assembly are implemented, to advise and facilitate WHO's work.
