Welcome to IAPO's Patient-Centred Healthcare Portal.
One of IAPO's aims is to advocate internationally with a strong patients' voice on relevant aspects of healthcare policy, with the aim of influencing international, regional and national health agendas and policies.
This Portal details IAPO's policy activities and background information on key issues in patient-centred healthcare.
As part of its work to define patient-centred healthcare, from 2004 IAPO has been working with patients' organizations worldwide to develop a Declaration to facilitate collaboration and promote patients' views.
Policy Issues and Activities Details key policy issues of concern to patients and patients' organizations worldwide, and how IAPO is addressing them through proactive and reactive policy-making, policy statements, collaborations, organizing events and participating in key conferences.
Policy Statements Provides quick access to IAPO's policy statements addressing key policy issues of relevance to patients and patients' organizations all over the world. Our statements are produced following research and wide consultation.
The Patient-Centred Healthcare Indicators Review The Patient-Centred Healthcare Indicators Review and accompanying Consultation Report, launched at IAPO’s 5th Global Patient Congress 2012 aims to identify and explore current efforts to measure the patient-centredness of healthcare providers, organizations, national health systems and other stakeholders involved in healthcare provision.
