Help with searching for information on 'www.patientsorganizations.org'
The International Alliance of Patients' Organizations (IAPO) website uses advanced Intenet technology, and this enables the whole site to be searched.
Global Site Search EngineBy using the global search form that appears on every page, can search the whole site.

Enter a phrase or term in the box and click the 'Go' button, and the search engine will do the hard work for you. The search results are ordered with the most recent addition to the site at the top of the list.

Some areas of the website have their own special search engines, which enables you to search that single area. For instance, the News section can be searched;

News Archive Search Engine

Again, the results are shown with the most recent addition to the site at the top of the list.

If the search engine finds more than 10 results, it will put them into a paged format where you can view 10 results at a time. This is far easier and quicker to download than being shown all the results in one (possibly) long list.

Alternatively, you can use the Advanced Search Engine where you can opt to search for keyword or phrase, a certain time frame, content associated with a particular person, etc.

Advanced Search Engine

The Advanced Search Engine can help you find information on the IAPO site. You can search by;

  • Search for: type the keyword, any word, or phrase.
  • Search in: search for the keyword or phrase in the title, the introduction or the whole page.
  • User: If you know the name of the person who submitted the information to the site, you could search on information they have supplied.
  • Date range: If you know the date the page was put on the site, you can limit the search to this time frame. Very useful for searching Discussion Forums or time-related News.

If you have any queries about this, and other features on the IAPO website, please contact the IAPO Website Administrator.
