 Former IAPO Chair and Governing Board Member, Myrl Weinberg, gave a presentation on the importance of partnerships when tackling chronic diseases at the International Council of Nurses (ICN) International Roundtable on Chronic Disease. This meeting brought together key stakeholders to inspire and support a movement of the nursing workforce to fight chronic disease locally, nationally and internationally. IAPO Member, Asthma and Sport Organization (NGO) will be holding their 1st International Asthma and Sport Academy in the countryside of Slovenia. The event will include activities such as lectures, workshops and other sport activities and the Asthma and Sport Organization aim to help participants organize Asthma&Sport™ programs in their city or country, upgrade their physical education, fitness or health care certification, help athletes with asthma to perform better and teach efficient therapies and tips to avoid asthma symptoms.

With the support of IAPO and many other healthcare stakeholders, such as the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the World Medical Association (WMA), Oud Consultancy & Conference Management is organizing the Second International Conference on Violence in the Health Sector: From Awareness to Sustainable Action. The focus of the conference targets at concrete and sustainable initiatives, projects, and research aimed at combating violence in the health sector. Former IAPO Chair and Governing Board Member, Albert van der Zeijden will be giving a keynote speech at the conference.
